| What is Exploration Geology and Geochemistry? Exploration
geology embraces all aspects of searching for minerals from the study of known
mineralisation and developing an understanding of geological controls to applying that
knowledge in the search for new deposits. As a result, there is no substitute for
experience and AGARSS can offer over 50 years collective worldwide exploration experience
spread across a wide range of geological environments.
Examples of work AGARSS has been involved in
Regional reconnaissance stream sediment geochemical surveys and geological mapping,
carried out for:- base metals in the Nyimba PL123, Republic of Zambia. gold: Southern
Uplands, Scotland; Eastern Desert, Egypt; Yilgarn and Pilbara regions, Western Australia;
Adelaide River, Northern Territory. coal: Mwape basin, Republic of Zambia. uranium: Rum
Jungle region, Northern Territory, Australia.
Detailed soil geochemical grid sampling and prospect mapping, carried out for:- base
metals: Lutala Hills prospect, Nyimba PL123, Republic of Zambia. gold: various prospects,
Yilgarn, Pilbara and Kimberley regions, Western Australia; Pine Creek, Adelaide River,
Northern Territory; Creswick, Victoria, Australia. platinum group metals, nickel and
chromium: Weld Range Joint Venture, Cue, Western Australia.
Exploration drilling, carried out for:- gold: various prospects, Yilgarn and Pilbara
regions, Western Australia. platinum group metals, nickel and chromium: Weld Range Joint
Venture, Cue, Western Australia. platinum group metals: Panton Sill, Kimberley, Western
Australia. uranium: Rum Jungle region, Northern Territory, Australia. tantalum: Mt
Cassiterite, Pilbara, Western Australia. "black granite": Kimberley, Western
Australia.
