Bob has over 20 years experience in
the mineral industry which has been acquired in many diverse parts of the world and on
several different commodities. After carrying out research into both porphyry copper
and gold mineralisation in Peru, he was involved in base metal, emerald, and uranium
exploration in Zambia before spending 5 years in Saudi Arabia within their Directorate
General for Mineral Resources.
Moving to Australia in 1987, Bob became responsible
for developing exploration programmes based upon the Geoscan Airborne Multi-Spectral
Scanners on behalf of Carr Boyd Minerals Ltd., and successfully led their exploration
effort offshore into the U.S.A. and Middle East before becoming General Manager of Geoscan
Pty. Ltd.
With Geoscan, Bob was responsible for
commercialising the unique remote sensing technology and developed extensive overseas
operations in both North and South America. Under Bob's management, Geoscan not only
acquired remote sensing data for clients, but also processed, interpreted and became
directly involved in both widespread regional and site specific exploration projects.
On leaving Geoscan, Bob established A.G.A.R.S.S.
Pty. Ltd. and was immediately successful in maintaining the contacts and associations
developed over his career and collectively applying them for the benefit of a number of
clients. A.G.A.R.S.S. Pty. Ltd. has since negotiated the exclusive right to trade in
Geoscan data and is the Australian outlet for a Chilean Company which has developed a
low-cost Seismic Tomography system with applications in mine safety and mineral
exploration. |
